The best local hand dipped ice cream store. A delicious melody of flavors and a wide selection of ice cream concoctions. The only downside of this place is that it closes in the winter!

This is our go-to spot for any time family comes to town or if we are looking to treat ourselves in the summer! It's an awesome family owned shop with nearly hundreds of amazing ice-cream flavors and a classic ice cream parlor aesthetic. If you haven't been to Licks, was the trip to Excelsior even real??

Great place and the locals of Excelsior flock here in droves. Lost a star due to their lack of allergen control. My friend who suffered a peanut allergy could not enjoy their product.

Good ice cream & good people

I have so many memories of this place as a child and teen growing up in Excelsior. My Grandpa would take my cousins and I everytime after swimming at Excelsior Beach in the summer. I miss those days! However, I'm really happy & proud that Licks is still around. I HAVE TO stop in!

I drove by the ice cream location tonight and was disappointed. I was under the impression we should be social distancing. Well you'd never know by the unsafe distance people were next to each other. Most places are taking this seriously but not here!

They have amazing ice cream here! If you have a nut allergy no problem they are very kind and follow any procedures possible(although it is not a 100% guarantee it is nut safe). The staff is super friendly and their unique flavors of ice cream are amazing! One of my favorite places to go in the summer time for a sweet treat!

If you are ice-cream lover, this one should be in your checklist. They have interesting flavors and great naming for all of them but also traditional truple chocolate ice-cream. Just love it.

Best ice cream ever. “Heaps of Love” in a chocolate peanut cone has been a staple of mine for 15+ years. Doesn’t get any better.

Super fast service even though there was a line out the door, the girl who served us was so nice and overall the ice cream and chocolate dipped waffle cone was delicious

Staff was friendly and knowledgable. Kudos for the way they organize orders by group! They have one service person help each group (7 in ours) from selection to payment. Try the exhausted parent flavor (especially if you are one) made with bourbon and really adds to the flavor. The ice cream (that I tasted) was on par with Sebastian Joe's ice cream, another small boutique provider (although they have more than one location). The selection was significant with some other snarky flavors I'll be back to try, also a creative collection of cones and cup sizes. a nice shop on main shopping strip in Excelsior with a hip vibe, maybe try dinner at Coalition first, to make a meal as good as the ice cream!

So many flavor choices, and so delicious! Also, just a jaunt from the water, so it's fun to walk down to the dock while enjoying your ice cream.

This is an AWESOME place to get ice cream. They have a multitude of options for flavors, cones, sizes and scoops. There are so many flavors, and you’ll never get bored of the decorations inside. The lines show that this a great place.
